
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and inventory management.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring timely collection of payments from customers.
Process vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
Monitor and report on cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial reports.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including sales tax reporting.
Maintain accurate records of brewery-specific transactions, such as excise taxes and production costs.
Work closely with management to provide insights into financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Collaborate with external accountants for audits, tax preparation, and other financial matter
Requirements
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or similar role, preferably in the food and beverage or brewery industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Knowledge of brewery operations and associated financial processes (e.g., excise taxes, production costs) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Familiarity with inventory management and cost accounting is a plus.
