About the Role

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.

  • Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and portioned accurately.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines.

  • Assist in setting up and stocking the kitchen with necessary supplies.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to the appropriate personnel.

  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively.

  • Follow proper procedures for food storage and rotation to prevent waste.

  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods.

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workplace.

  • Assist with opening and closing duties, such as:

    • Opening: Setting up the kitchen, prepping ingredients, and organizing tools.

    • Closing: Cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, storing food properly, and shutting down equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role preferred.

  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.

  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot environment.
